Back in the early part of 2011, our electrical department was overwhelmed with trying to maintain the lighting and electrical systems on campus. We either needed to hire additional help or bring in an outside contractor to help us. We decided to put all of the exterior lighting service needs out to bid. LMS submitted an impressive proposal and was awarded the service contract. Over the past year, we have been very pleased with their quality of work along with their ability to administer a contract of this size. The exterior lighting at the University of Utah has never looked better.

As a property manager for many retail customers, it is very important that we keep a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all of our customers. Exterior lighting plays a huge role in this goal. For the past 10 years, we have contracted all of our exterior lighting service needs to LMS. Because of how their program is structured through night inspections, light fixture cleaning, and group relamping, our exterior lighting system performs at a higher level than most. LMS has been super on all our monthly maintenance programs. I have used them for 17 years beginning in 1995. LMS has always been helpful and responsive to our needs to both the inside lighting replacements and outside light repairs. We also use them every year to install and take down our giant Christmas wreath on the front of our main building. Usually they respond with only a week or less notice. LMS is always on time and responds immediately when we need their help. LMS’s employees are always courteous and mindful of the office surroundings when changing out lights. They are a big factor every Christmas shutdown when I have one or two of my Clean rooms relamped. LMS comes in and efficiently and effectively completes the job with precision. We had 90 stores that had old style T12 fluorescent lighting in them. LMS put together a retrofit program which converted all of these stores to T8 fluorescent lamps running on electronic ballasts. This conversion reduced our energy costs while drastically increasing our light levels. LMS also handled and administered the incentives that were offered by Rocky Mountain Power which helped offset the overall costs of the lighting upgrade. I was very pleased with how LMS handled this program from start to finish.
